Today we spoke of how to bring the writing process to the students. My Master Teacher gave the sample lesson of bringing in bread, jelly and a knife and then to have the students attempt to walk her through the steps in making a sandwich. The goal is to take the students statements as literally as possible, so that they can begin to understand the need to state every step rather than relying on implied meaning.
I can't wait to see students deal with their frustration and realization of the need for being specific.
