Today focused on the importance of modeling the expected procedure for
lessons. Doing the first two or three problems of a packet of reading
or math so that the students would know exactly what to do. Direct
modeling seems to be the best option at this grade.
We also did a still life lesson in art, they could put their still life
(in this case flowers) in any setting they wanted, but the flowers had
to be drawn exactly as the student saw it.
The hearing and vision tests were today, it was rough breaking up the
lessons to get them to and from their areas and remaining quiet so
that the other students wouldn’t be distracted.
